Regal Magazine’s Top Vacation Spots, Favorite Food Lists

If you have been following our latest round of articles, you will know that Regal Magazine has been polling its readership to get their favorite choices on a wide range of topics from sports legends to our top celebrity women. This piece will showcase the foods that warm their hearts and the top vacation spots that spark their imagination.

In our top 10 favorite foods, we start out with that great gobble, gobble-we are talking about the smoked turkey and the favorite part on that Thanksgiving or Christmas centerpiece is the wing.

In second place, we head off shore with fish, whether it is baked or fried, our male readers enjoy the chase to catch them and the final results ranging from fried catfish to broiled salmon.

The third place favorite is not a specific item, but a type–Italian food especially spaghetti, lasagna and that rounded favorite-pizza!

In fourth place, it is not a meat and can be seen in a tasty vegetable dish or delicious dessert – the sweet potato.

Back to the ocean for the fifth choice – seafood, yes, our discerning men like choices-lobster, clams and shrimp (oysters anyone?), whether they are plain or dressed up.

The sweet spot is number six with desserts including peach cobbler and chocolate cake. Carnivores still reign in numbers seven and eight with pork and beef respectively.

More vegetables to balance the meals in number nine featuring collard greens and smothered cabbage.

And with an homage “to dear old mom” or pop depending on who did the cooking, comfort foods including meatloaf and gravy, chicken noodle soup and shrimp and grits have claimed the tenth spot.

Now, what does one do after eating all that great food? They think about all the places they can go to work it off and enjoy some sun, sand and sea.

Our readers are clearly world travelers as reflected in their top vacation spots. The Hawaiian Islands came in first, especially Waikiki Beach and with the new “Hawaii

5-0″ on television, interest in the islands is returning.

We had a tie for the second spot on our top vacation spots list with Puerto Rico and The Bahamas. Their beautiful beaches and close proximity to the Eastern Seaboard bode well for our travelers to enjoy the many amenities on both.

And it is an easy island hop to number three on our top vacation spots list-the Virgin Islands. Maintaining the beach front allure with another set of ties; fourth spot includes Cancun and Cozumel and in the fifth spot, we have the more elusive Aruba and Cayman Islands.

While those islands are closer and similar, our next two top vacation spots have a lot in common, but a good distance between them. While Miami has South Beach all the beautiful people (according to some) and great food holds the sixth spot, it is Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro that takes center stage in the lucky seven spot, showcased by the sultry carnival atmosphere and luscious beach front making it a vacation paradise.

The final three are combinations worthy of being a part of the ranking. The eighth spot encompasses South Carolina’s vacation spot trio – Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach and Charleston where good food, great golf and historic beauty come together.

The European trio – London, Paris and Rome-hold court and reflect the global tastes of our readers.

Finally, where would our list be without the West Coast wonderlands of North America including California and Mexico?

So much to see and do here and abroad! So, do you know the way to San Jose? There is more than one. Check them all out and enjoy!

Holidays to Kenya Are More Than Just the Beach

Holidays to Kenya usually create images of white sand beaches and luxury hotels. It is a year-round destination with temperatures ranging from 27? to 31? throughout the year and very little jetlag to worry about. For those that are more adventurous, holidays to Kenya can offer a mixture of short safaris and beach holidays in one.

Staying around Mombasa? Head towards the Shimba Hills National Park. It is just under an hour from Mombasa and its neighbouring resorts and sits 500 metres above sea level, a uplifting change from the heat and humidity of the coast. It is one of Kenya’s less visited nature reserves and with its nit-pick of jungle and grassland is also home to some quite astonishing game viewing. One of its most famous lodges is the Shimba Lodge and its key position over a watering hole regularly visited by many of the park’s animals. This Lodge sits at the heart of the jungle where guests are able to share this wonderful environment with its animal residents. Whilst the lodging may seem basic at first, this is soon forgotten when Bushbabies appear right in front of your balcony.

If you want to see elephants they can be observed from the platform at the end of the walkway that runs along the Shimba Lodge or, alternatively, head towards Elephant Hill where you can observe these creatures. There is also an elephant reserve at the edge of the park. This reserve was set up to help manage the conflict of interest between the elephants and locals, who were suffering crop damage from elephants. The reserve allows elephants freedom whilst still protecting the farmers’ interests. Head here if you want guaranteed elephant viewing.

Fancy a bit of camping? Camping is available at two sites. The public campsite is about 3 km from the main gate and has huge views across the park and has a few basic amenities. If you want to see the wonderful sunrise then this is the place to be. The other camp site is Hunter’s Camp, but this has no amenities and is most popular with the locals. If you plan on camping in this park you will need the permission of the Rangers first.

Children will love the chance to experience what Kenya has to offer, and because the short safaris allow children as young as three, it is a perfect way to introduce children to this style of holiday. Distances are short between the coast and the nature reserve, and children are much more likely to enjoy a safari experience because they only last a couple of days, rather than a week or more for proper safaris.

Holidays to Kenya offer a remarkable opportunity for those that are prepared to experience something different. The Kenyan coastal resorts have exploited two of Kenya’s best assets and made available opportunities to holidaymakers that would otherwise not have been obtainable. Holidays to Kenya are an ideal way to test the waters for a whole new holiday experience. Holidays to Kenya are a great choice no matter what your preferences.

Benefits of Hiring an Airport Limo Service

The stress of flying has never been so high as in recent years with the biggest headache involving the increased inconvenience of travel delays. It’s safe to say one would avoid them completely if given the choice. So after enduring flights often filled with delays, multiple transfers, mishandled baggage and the like; you’re all too ready to reach your final destination. Securing an airport limousine service can afford you peace of mind and get you safely and quickly to wherever you’re going.

Most airports have some form of public transport service which the general public may utilize. These services however can prove to be crowded, noisy, and uncomfortable. Plus, depending upon traffic conditions (in addition to your particular destination on the transport company’s route) your ride may be… quite long. Not an issue with limo service. You enjoy privacy, comfort, quiet and the quickest way to get where you need to be apart from driving yourself. You can rest assured your driver is there to ensure an overall pleasant experience for you – since tending to the client’s needs is ultimately what hiring a limousine service is all about.

The first and most obvious reason for hiring a limo service is its time-saving convenience. You’re anxious to get to your hotel or other destination point. Knowing your personal limo service will be waiting for you provides not only needed relief but removes the headache of possibly more unnecessary delays. Not to mention since limousine services are routinely used to dealing with delay issues, they can adjust to these occurrences (as needed) and still manage to greet you at your arrival point.

You’ll also feel better with the knowledge that the driving will be left in ‘professional’ hands – meaning a courteous individual who is familiar with the location and can provide you with vital area information, suggest places/things of interest (as well as those you may wish to avoid) and assist with other general inquiries. No map needed and no asking for directions. You can relax comfortably and enjoy the ride, tend to some personal tasks or perhaps even take a short nap. Some limo services even provide a courtesy ‘convenience store’ stop without additional charge. Not only can you decompress but you’ll avoid long car rental lines or the uncertainty of local taxi companies. And the good news is: the above benefits still apply upon a return trip to your place of origin.

As there are countless limousine services you should always make an informed decision based on a few important factors – namely cost, fleet quality/quantity, services offered, prior customer satisfaction and length of time in business. Using this guideline, you’ll be better equipped to find a service that matches not only your expectations but your pocketbook. Some forethought and a little research will save you time and frustration.

Bottom line: Limousine services are unmatched for safety, comfort and peace of mind. Just be prudent, be diligent and remember the golden rule: a little research goes a long way.

Rafting in the Struma River

If you want to do something different for this spring, because spring is the time when the rivers are deepest, you can try the rafting in Kresnensko defile. Kresnenski prolom or also called Kresnensko defile is a defile in Bulgaria, formed by Struma River when crossing with its West slopes of Pirin Mountain and its East of Maleshevska Mountain. The defile is long 18 kilometers.

It is not necessary to be advanced or you have any experience with rowing, it is not necessarily to be at an exact age or weight, the only thing is to be intent of the purpose for all to have a good time and as extreme as possible. You will “work” in a team and you should really work like one whole, so you will all have a mission to arrive successfully at the appointed place.

There is a company called Adventurenet and it is great for that sport. If you are used to the chaos, confusion and misunderstandings in Bulgaria, here you will find people who are actually doing their best to prevent any misunderstandings and are working for your good time. Their preparation is the best. You will have one-hour instruction that you should carefully listen to so that you will be more productive in the boat and more self – protective. People from this firm will give you full equipment – special neoprene costumes, helmets, special shoes, safe jackets and etc.

Usually during the day the firm is carrying out 3 trips – at 10, at 13 and 16 o’clock. At lunchtime, it is supposed to be sunnier and good for that boat trip. There is no chance for you to get out from the boat dry, but the adrenaline and the neoprene costumes will help you not to feel the cold water.

The trip is actually very pleasant. If it isn’t as extreme as you wish to be, the guide (instructor) who sits usually at the back of the boat, turns it upside down to be more fun.

The instructors look and act very professional like and they give you a sense of security and control in the situations. The company has also a photographer, who is running up and down near the river, trying to take the funniest and the most interesting pictures that you will enjoy watching afterwards. They are not very cheap, but they are very professional and you will be happy to have them and show them to your friends and family.

Interesting to know is that there are a lot of beautiful sights that you should visit and they are located near Struma River, so consider them when planning your vacation in Bulgaria.

Rafting in the Strumar River is suitable for all, who are looking for fun, filled with many positive emotions day, without any shadow of fear and worry, which would bring you memories for life. Furthermore, this will leave great, lifetime memories for you and all the people, who are traveling with you.

Things to Do Off-Strip in a Famous City in Nevada

A visit to Sin City usually involves a lot of gambling, eating out, shopping, and enjoying a few shows. These activities can really hit your bank account hard, but there are ways to enjoy all of these same activities and more for a much lower price. The trick is to head off-strip, out of the major tourist area in the city. While the Strip is the number one destination in Sin City, there is plenty to do elsewhere. Even if you reserve your hotel room on the Strip, but spend time in other areas while there, you can still save a great deal of money. First, make sure your excursions away from the Strip are safe. Consider renting a party bus or limo so you can enjoy some adult beverages and still get around safely. There is no reason to get yourself into a position where you need the services of a DUI attorney or DUI lawyer. Instead, set up an organized trip off-Strip with a responsible driver.

One of the main destinations for those heading off-Strip is downtown. The downtown area feature hotels, restaurants, and casinos, just as the Strip does, but in many cases they are much cheaper. You can get a great hotel room for a portion of what you would pay on Strip. You can also find great gambling deal like one dollar blackjack. Dining is a great savings too and all of the cheap steaks, shrimp and buffets the town was once known for can be found downtown. Fremont Street even has an exciting overhead show that kids and adults will both enjoy.

There are a number of museums in Sin City and many of them are off-Strip. One of the favorites of visitors to the city is the Liberace Museum. You can enjoy the extravagant lifestyle of this entertainer by visiting his museum. From glittering stage outfits to sparkling pianos, it is all display at the museum that honors the life of one of the city’s best entertainers.

Sin City offers a number of interactive activities and participating in a murder mystery bus tour is a favorite of visitors and locals. Tours pick up from Strip hotels or you can arrive at the starting point of the tour before heading out into the city on a bus with fellow mystery sleuths. Tours are reasonably priced and usually run each evening. Many even offer prizes at the end of the mystery for participants.

A final option for those visiting Sin City is to head out of town completely and visit one of the nearby wonders of the area. The Hoover Dam is about an hour from the Strip and the Grand Canyon makes a great day excursion for visitors to the area. Both attractions feature bus trips from Strip hotels, so you do not need to worry about renting a car and you can relax during your ride to and from the attraction. Most trips offer meals as part of the package and they will have you back in town with plenty of time left for an evening of gambling.

Rent a limo or party bus/stay out of trouble, visit downtown for great deals on food and gambling, visit the Liberace museum, participate in a murder mystery tour and drive to Hoover Dam or Grand Canyon

Travel Safe With Helpful Advice That Makes Sense

When you take time to create a good travel plan, it really does pay off. You have saved a lot of money by planning out things like transportation, so that you can enjoy your vacation with a little extra cash in your pocket. Like with any plan, you can always add and improve. Below are some tips to help.

Check up on local norms before setting out for your destination. What is okay in America such as chewing gum in public or shaking hands in certain situations may not be okay in other cultures, so better to be safe than sorry when venturing into the unknown. Many times, locals will be impressed by your knowledge of their culture.

Before you go on a trip, ask around for tips from friends and family. See who has been there before and/or what they’d recommend you either visit or avoid. Are there particular restaurants, sights, or shows you should see? You can also check out sites on the internet that provide advice from fellow travelers.

Pack your own pillow. If you have trouble sleeping away from home, try bringing your own pillow along. Some people find it difficult to sleep in a bed that isn’t their own. Having a familiar pillow under your head can make a surprisingly huge difference. It could mean the difference between sleepless nights and being well rested for another day full of activities.

When traveling in a car, make sure to keep a small trash bag with you. You will invariably collect some trash while eating or drinking, and the mess can accumulate quickly. Having a bag handy will allow you to keep your car organized and clean, creating a nice environment for you to drive in.

Visiting local wineries can be a fun, convenient, and inexpensive trip. Research your state’s wine industry to discover destinations you may never have even heard of! Tasting fees in many wine regions are often inexpensive and may include a winery’s entire selection. Depending on where you live, it may also be possible to visit several wineries in a single day trip.

If you are traveling to an area where the tap water tastes strange to you, try using the hotel ice machines to get your water. The ice machines make use of water filters, so the quality is better but you don’t have to cover the expense of bottled water. This can be used for your coffee maker in the room as well as other drinks.

Claim and Recheck Baggage. Upon returning to the United States from an out of country trip, you will need to claim and recheck your luggage before you make your connecting flight. If you don’t know this, then you don’t know to build an extra hour into the time you need to make your connecting flight, and you will end up rushing about the terminal possibly make getting onto your connection flight a challenge.

You have the research, the plan, and are now ready to apply them all to a great and well-thought out trip. Fabulous! The above tips were constructed to add to your personal travel plan, as you are never done improving it. You may have even found something new to experience on your next trip.
